The Nautical Structures HMC series of davits are a long-standing icon in the Nautical Structures product catalog. The HMC Davits are known for their simple design, versatility, and quality construction. Simply put, the HMC davit series looks just as at home on a tournament-spec sportfishing yacht as it does on the finest superyachts available.
We are proud to introduce the next addition to the venerable HMC lineup. The fully modular and removable HMC 3 function davit was designed and built at the request of a custom sportfish yacht owner. The clients request was an interesting one, he wanted a davit that could lift his Mangrove 18 by Chittum Skiffs one day, and the next day remove the davit and compete in a blue-water offshore tournament.
We took this idea and ran with it, developing a way to take our HMC and make it fully modular. we utilized full 316L quick-release-pins and quick-disconnect hydraulic fittings and blended them with our existing design. The Nautical Structures engineering team was able to make a version of the HMC1700-3 davit that can easily be split apart and removed in as little as 1 hour. This is done by breaking the system into a few man-portable pieces, allowing the client to go from a flats cruising mothership to a clean-decked tournament monster in the blink of an eye.
