Nautical Structures opens Mediterranean sales and service center at MB92 headquarters

LARGO, FLORIDA—Nautical Structures has opened in September 2017 a sales and service center at MB92 in Barcelona, Spain as part of the company’s on-going expansion plans. According to Nautical Structures President Colin Kiley, the operation will be managed by Ron Beilman, Worldwide Service Director and Rob Knoop, European Sales Director. The Nautical Structures’ MB92 Sales and Service Center will be initially staffed by four specialists, with plans to grow staffing to 12 employees.

The establishment of the MB92 Service Center in Barcelona is key to the company’s growth strategy. MB92 is the world’s leading equipment service, repair and refit company dedicated to superyachts, and is headquartered in the center of Barcelona, perfectly situated in the Western Mediterranean to cater to the superyacht fleet. MB92 is easily accessible by land and sea, and offers state-of-the-art repair and refit facilities in Barcelona, including a 2,000-ton Syncrolift, a 220-meter dry dock and a new 4,000-ton Shiplift under construction, and in La Ciotat, France, with a 200-meter renewed dry dock.

“We are delighted that Nautical Structures will be joining us at our Barcelona facilities. We look forward to working together and this agreement demonstrates our shared commitment to providing our clients with the very best service here in Barcelona and in our new dry dock facilities in La Ciotat.”, says Commercial Director of MB92, Henk Dreijer.

“Forming strong collaborative partnerships with internationally renowned services and providers is a core element of our strategy at MB92. The agreement between Nautical Structures and MB92 represents another important step forward for the Western Mediterranean as the global center for Superyacht refit and repair and will lead to even more exciting opportunities for our clients.” says David Mira, MB92 Procurement Manager.

“The vision and planning supporting the NSI Service Group expansion worldwide is focused on timely and competent availability to all our customers, both end-users and the best shipyards worldwide,” states Ron Beilman. “MB92 is the perfect complement to what is already in place and flourishing in our Florida locations. It affords a uniquely powerful partnership, allowing deployment of both NSI technicians, and factory trained, authorized regional partners to facilitate all categories of sales and service work.”

Rob Knoop affirms the value of integrated project management.  “The first project performed by Nautical Structures Europe and MB92 was executed to the fullest satisfaction of the customer,” Knoop explains.  The result was new equipment being delivered and installed in a very short time frame. “It’s a turn-key philosophy where one company, one point of contact, is responsible for ensuring the proper and timely execution of the client’s project.”

The Mediterranean expansion affords Nautical Structures’ clients exceptional service by qualified technical support staff out of the Barcelona, Largo or Ft. Lauderdale facilities with sales and service support in The Netherlands. Each location provides full product sales, engineering support, and service, including installation, annual inspections for classed products, global product support and warranty work.

“Nautical Structures has led the way for product quality, innovation and warranty,” Kiley explained. “We are now poised to deliver best-of-class service with global reach. The company’s commitment is to build a scalable, full warranty and maintenance program, including service contracts, with world-wide support.”
